Analysis of Failure Modes in Anesthesia for Cardiac Surgery Using the Healthcare Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (HFMEA) Technique

Background: Healthcare statistics, issued by various international organizations, show that medical errors in health centers impose high costs on patients and hospitals increase the rates of morbidity mortality around world. Due to potential risks cardiovascular diseases, occurrence any can potentially endanger patients’ lives incur them, as well hospitals. On other hand, anesthesia is one priorities for risk management clinical care. Objectives: This study aimed identify, classify, evaluate failures open heart surgeries, using healthcare failure mode effects analysis (HFMEA) technique.
